JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

Responsible for maintaining margins, establishing and maintaining customer grain relationships by marketing Ag Partners grain risk management and origination programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Other duties may be assigned.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner, according to Ag Partners' safety policy.
  • Utilize good customer service skills at all times, when servicing and greeting customers, and when working with co-workers and other departments within the company.
  • Listen to and resolves customer service complaints.
  • Demonstrate work habits that develop, build, and support the team concept within the organization.
  • Answer the phone and work with producers, responding to pricing questions, selling, etc.
  • Develop sales and marketing techniques to enhance the service to current customers and procurement of new customers.
  • Up to 75% of time devoted to on-farm sales calls.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of Ag Partners grain programs and policies, along with the ability to describe them to customers.
  • Provide and conduct training needs of grain, transportation and farmer marketing programs to employees and producers.
  • Assist other location origination Teams with procurement of cash grain.
  • Serve in a consulting/advisory role with producers.
  • Abide with state and federal rules and regulations, monitors grain contracts to ensure compliance and works with the auditors to respond to questions and provide appropriate information.
  • Ability to actively and efficiently utilize IBM Compatible PC, Windows Environment, 10-Key adding machine, fax machine, copier, telephone and voice mail.
  • Maintain the image of Ag Partners. Inform all company personnel of the importance of portraying a professional image of company facilities, equipment and personal appearance.
  • Provide and conduct training needs of grain, transportation and farmer marketing programs to employees and producers.
  • Scheduling and organizing producer marketing meetings.
  • Assist with rail car billings as requested.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
