Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for a Configuration Management Specialist to support Joint Program Manager Information Systems Office in San Diego CA.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • The candidate shall possess experience and technical knowledge in source control to create builds and establish official software releases, and perform configuration audits on deliveries. The candidate shall have the ability to process, maintain and track all incoming and outgoing software media inventory; taking receipt of software, hardware, and related technical data.
  • The candidate shall possess knowledge of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) information systems technologies, including Sensors, and Command and Control (C2) systems.
  • The candidate shall be knowledgeable all service's Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) Command and control (C2) systems, e.g. Command & Control Systems, and information systems.
  • The candidate shall coordinate with C4I host sites to download or upload updated releases/deliveries, where the Warfighters can access them to support their missions.
  • The candidate shall have prior knowledge of overall Best Practices; including requirements management, configuration management, property control, risk management to reduce defects and mitigate risk. The candidate shall possess the ability to develop Configuration Management Plan (CMP), and Configuration Status Accounting Report (CSAR), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • The candidate shall possess experience in building, controlling, maintaining, and administering databases (Program change Report (PCR), SharePoint, Workstation, the tools)
  • The candidate shall have the ability to analyze existing processes, identify gaps and implement improved processes; Coordinate release activities with Configuration Management (CM) members to build and deliver products
  • The candidate shall be knowledgeable and responsible for maintaining and updating CM and associated supporting documentation.
  • The candidate shall have experience in running a Configuration Control Board (CCB). The candidate shall prepare CCB agenda and minutes and perform configuration reviews
  • The candidate shall have the following experience: Performing configuration status accounting, - maintaining control of software inventory, - maintaining software configurations, -software production process, and scripting
  • The candidate shall possess senior level written and verbal communications abilities, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. The candidate shall understand the principles of information delivery.
  • The candidate shall manage team members to process urgent major distribution to different services in prompt action and short time.
  • The candidate shall possess knowledge of overall Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and best engineering practices; including requirements management, configuration management, property control, and risk management to reduce defects and mitigate risk.
  • The candidate shall understand Software Development Models and best practices as they apply to Acquisition Programs and Lifecycle Management. The candidate shall possess an in-depth knowledge of the DOD's Acquisition Lifecycle Management process.
  • The candidate shall have the ability to define, plan and execute a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) event and provide cost savings metrics.
The Candidate may be required to travel up to 25% CONUS; and 10% OCONUS

General Experience:
  • 8 years with Bachelors; 10 years with Associates or Professional Certificate
Relevent Experience:
  • 5 years with Bachelors; 7 years with Associates or Professional Certificate. At least 5 years of software configuration management experience, or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience in: programing languages including Linux, Unix, Java, C++, or equivalent; leveraging one or more of the following tools to include Confluence, JAMA, JENKINS, JIRA, Bit bucket (GIT), Subversion (SVN), Fortify, Nexus, SharePoint, or equivalent; source control to create builds and establish official software releases, and perform configuration audits on deliveries; knowledge of overall Best Practices including requirements management, configuration management, property control, risk management to reduce defects and mitigate risk. The candidate shall possess the ability to develop Configuration Management Plan (CMP), and Configuration Status Accounting Report (CSAR), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); building, controlling, maintaining, and administering databases (Program change Report (PCR), SharePoint, Workstation, the tools); analyze existing processes, identify gaps and implement improved processes; Performing configuration status accounting, maintaining control of software inventory, maintaining software configurations, -software production process, and scripting; senior level written and verbal communications abilities, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Prefer at least 1 year of experience in:
  • Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) information systems technologies, including Sensors, and Command and Control (C2) systems; all service's Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) Command and control (C2) systems, e.g. Command & Control Systems, and information systems; running a Configuration Control Board (CCB); overall Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and best engineering practices; including requirements management, configuration management, property control, and risk management to reduce defects and mitigate risk; DOD's Acquisition Lifecycle Management process; define, plan and execute a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) event and provide cost savings metrics.
Education requirements:
  • Bachelors with 8 years general experience; Associates or Professional Certificate with 10 years general experience
Certifications:
  • CompTIA Security+ (within 1 month)
Experience and/or Certifications Required:
  • Programming language: Linux, Unix, Java, C++, or equivalent.
  • Tools: Confluence, JAMA, JENKINS, JIRA, Bit bucket (GIT), Subversion (SVN), Fortify, Nexus, SharePoint, or equivalent.
  • 5 years of software configuration management experience, or equivalent.
