  • Responsible for developing, implementing and analyzing compensation programs for executives, officers and other key positions, including long-term and short-term incentive plans, financial and tax treatment of compensation programs, governance and proxy disclosure.

  • Analyzes market competitiveness of compensation programs including oversight of executive salary surveys, annual and long-term incentive programs and tracking of stock ownership guidelines.
  • HR & Training
  • Develops materials presented to the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors including financial modeling and schedules.
  • Works with internal/external audit, financial reporting, HRIS and compensation and benefits administration functions on required audits and Sarbanes-Oxley testing. Responsible for documentation of equity processes and assisting with oversight of SOX process controls. Identifies, evaluates and recommends processes for streamlining and efficiency improvements as it relates to executive compensation and benefits.
  • Coordinates with the compensation administration and financial reporting functions the reporting of equity compensation; answers inquiries regarding stock plans and ensures compliance with appropriate tax and legal filings. Oversees broker administration for executive benefits.
  • Prepares financial schedules for Financial, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function to ensure proper budgeting, forecasting and recording of annual and long-term incentives.
  • Participates in business expansion activity including merger and acquisition activities which includes analysis of current / proposed executive compensation packages and assists in the strategy development for integrating into Ulta's executive compensation programs.

  • Documents and assists in the evaluation of positions of Director and above leadership positions.
  • Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent experiences
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation, executive benefits or FP&A related analytics. Human capital consulting or executive compensation experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, including strong working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Confirmed ability to influence, persuade and collaborate across all organizational levels and functions
  • Experience successfully leading complex projects in finance or human resources or consulting environments
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to convey information in a clear, focused, and concise manner and facilitate consensus building.
  • Participates in development of compensation policy.
  • Experience working with senior leadership on confidential projects
