The Strategy team at Neiman Marcus Group is responsible for providing strategic support and thought leadership to the CEO and other Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members. The team's primary focus is developing the organization's growth strategy and driving initiatives that are a priority for the business. This includes taking on goal-specific projects, with executive sponsorship, and working with cross-functional leaders to drive change by aligning development plans, processes, and organization with the overall business strategy. Lastly, the Strategy team leads Business Development activities for the organization, including exploring partnerships and acquisitions in both domestic and international markets.. The Director, Strategy will report into the Vice President of Strategy. The Vice President of Strategy reports to the CEO.. Co-lead the development of the organization's strategic plan - including having primary responsibility for several aspects of the plan.. Responsible for business development both in the domestic and international markets - including the identification, assessment, and potentially execution of any partnerships and/or acquisitions.. Facilitate strategic development and execution process.. Lead development of Board of Director updates (as needed).. Direct projects related to growth, merchandising or commercialization opportunities in the business; including development and delivery of key milestones, analysis, presentations and the collaboration/management of cross-functional teams and external consultants.. Direct and manage the analysis of business data; work cross-functionally to identify and recommend key strategies to grow the business by facilitating the acceptance and commercialization of growth ideas.. Identify industry best practices and translating into practical solutions for Neiman Marcus Group.. Qualifications. 6-8 years of management consulting, financial analysis or growth strategy experience required. Merchant or merchandising experience a plus.. Experience in luxury mono-brand, specialty or department store retail that are omnichannel (store and digital).. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Influence others by asserting own ideas while gaining support and commitment from others. Identifies/influences critical stakeholders - proactively problem solves and recommends solutions.. Strong presentation skills including development and delivery of various formats to executive audiences. Able to understand audience and present material accordingly..
