Registered nurses (RNs) are a vital part of patient care and well-being. They promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. They provide physical and psychological support to patients and their friends and families. Registered nurses may also supervise a team of nursing and administrative staff, if applicable.
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Monitoring symptoms or changes in patient condition.
Maintaining accurate, detailed reports and medical charts.
Recording patients' medical information and vital signs.
Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient condition.
Modifying patient treatment plans as indicated by patient responses and conditions.
Directing or supervising less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel or a particular unit.
Consulting and coordinating with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
Overseeing all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
Providing instruction to individuals, families, or other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, or childbirth
Developing health improvement programs.
Preparing patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
Must possess valid current license under the State Board of Nursing.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Must be willing to travel, up to an hour distance.
Must be 18 years of age or greater.
Must have prior supervisory experience.
Must have current BLS/CPR training with card, any other specialty certifications required for working in specialty areas (PALS, ACLS, etc.).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position requires long hours and frequent weekend work that could take place in a variety of facilities. Example: Clinics, Long Term Care Facilities, Hospitals, Home Health, etc.
